Local developer Sidney Torres says the first planeload of food and medical supplies is due to arrive in the Bahamas this afternoon.

September 7, 2019 Torres, who is developing his second resort project in the island chain, began organizing the relief effort when the storm was still raging across the Bahamas.

September 7, 2019 He says each box of supplies can sustain a family for three or four days.
It’s not the first time Torres has undertaken relief efforts, having delivered goods to Puerto Rico and Haiti in recent years.
