Police in New Orleans investigate two separate shootings, one left a man dead, the other left a man injured in what is becoming a violent trend this week.
The NOPD says the fatal shooting happened around 10:00 p.m. in the 6900 block of Virgilian Street.
An NOPD report says, “Around 9:54 p.m., officers in the Seventh District responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 60-year-old male victim inside the residence suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital by EMS, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.”
The second shooting was non-fatal. Police say it happened around 10:29 p.m. in the 12000 block of North I-10 Service Road. Police say a male victim was shot in the leg.
Wednesday’s shootings now makes eight shootings since Monday where six separate shootings left 2 people dead.
