When LSU needed him most, the Texas Ranger Eric Walker delivered. The ailing Tiger pitching staff needed Walker to pitch deep into the first game of the series. Walker pitched masterfully, scattering two hits in six innings of work, giving up just one run as LSU defeated Auburn 7-1.Don’t look now but catcher Saul Garza is starting to catch fire at the plate. Garza went 3 for 4 in the win, with two singles and a monster solo HR that traveled 434 feet disappearing into the Baton Rouge night. Garza has now homered in four straight SEC weekends. Senior outfielder Antoine Duplantis chipped in with his 11th home run of the season. All in all the Tigers hit three home runs in the win. Freshman Cade Beloso smashed his 9th of the season in the fifth inning.
Yo he's a power hitter @antoine_dupl hit's another HR. 11th of the year

May 17, 2019 LSU did commit 3 errors on defense, which is troubling, but ultimately didn’t cost them. The Tigers will look for the series win tomorrow night at 7pm from Alex Box Stadium. LSU pitched 8 eight innings of shutout baseball and there is a feeling that maybe, just maybe LSU is starting to get their act together. The Tigers are now 16 and 12 in the SEC. The Bayou Bengals are now in sole possession of third place in the SEC West, and would be a top five seed in the SEC tournament, if they continue to win the series against Auburn. If the Tigers remain the 5th seed in the SEC tournament, they would play the 12th seed at 8pm Tuesday against South Carolina, Kentucky or Alabama.
