Warm and humid today. Tomorrow will be nasty with severe thunderstorms bringing strong winds and hail.
WWL-TV’s Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum says, “The squall line is expected to move through between 6 AM to the north, across Metro New Orleans around 8-9 AM and along the coast by 9-11 AM. The line will have strong to severe storms with strong winds, large hail and possibly a tornado or two. Heavy rain is also likely and we could pick up a quick 1-2 inches and that could lead to some minor flooding issues. The Storm Prediction Center has us in a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe weather. While the risk is low, you should not take this lightly.”
