Look for things to warm up and get wet late in Saturday.
"A warming trend begins today," WWL-TV Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum explained. "We will have an increase in cloud cover making it partly to mostly cloudy. High temperatures will warm back into the mid 60s today."
He says tomorrow will climb into the 70s.
"Most of Saturday will be mostly cloudy, warm and humid with a few showers and storms ahead of our next cold front. High temperatures will be close to 80°."
Nussbaum says this front will bring a threat of some nasty weather Saturday evening into Sunday.
"Expect more showers and storms late Saturday into Sunday. Some of these storms could be strong to possibly severe."
The storms could produce damaging winds and a few tornadoes.
"Make sure you stay weather aware Saturday evening through Sunday morning."
