The Storm Prediction Center says we are under an enhanced risk for severe weather tomorrow, with the potential for strong winds, large hail, and even tornadoes. It's a three on a five-point scale.
"This is a very rare occurrence," said WWL-TV weather expert, meteorologist Chris Franklin. "The timing looks to be from after the noon hour through the evening drive home, around 6 or 7 pm.
"We tend to see in the spring an isolated strong storm possibility, but this appears to be more of a potential for numerous severe storms," he explained. "This is all in conjunction with a strong upper disturbance and a cold front."
