So while the rest of St. Tammany Parish dutifully sequestered in their home, practicing social distancing, the members of Beau Chene were enjoying a Wednesday night bingo game that attracted more than 50 people.
Not to mention the club’s fitness center and pool were also open and being used at a time when area restaurants are closed to dinners and many close up at night.
The Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate reported Parish Councilmember Mike Lorino got 18 complaint calls.
On Friday Beau Chene’s manager Donald Beaver called the bingo gathering a mistake.
His club is also making disinfecting equipment, limiting golf carts to one person only, and moving tables father away from other ones.
