Offensive lineman Ed Ingram has been reinstated by LSU, a source confirmed Friday.
LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said earlier this week that he expected to hear something regarding the player who was facing sexual assault charges.
“We have very positive news. We have nothing official. I expect to know something in the near future, the next couple of days, and when I do hear something official, I'll let you guys know officially, but everything we hear will be very positive,” Orgeron said Monday.
Ingram was arrested and suspended last year on the charges. The Advocate reported that the case against Ingram has been dismissed.
Ingram is unlikely to play against Vanderbilt but could see action against Utah State in October.
