9-3 LSU baseball is back in Alex Box Stadium this weekend to host 6-4 Cal. The Tigers had a tough time in Austin, Texas in their first road series of the year last week as they were swept by the Longhorns. They'll look to bounce back against the Golden Bears who are 4-0 on the road this year. Cal is batting .277 with 12 home runs and 64 RBI. They have also stolen 9 bases on 12 attempts. LSU enters the series ranked No. 10 by Baseball America, No. 13 by D1 Baseball, No. 14 by Perfect Game, and No. 9 by Collegiate Baseball California is not ranked.
Bayou Bengals skipper Paul Mainieri joined Bobby & Kristian on Sports Talk to preview the series that starts Friday night at 7pm. Saturday's contest is a 3pm first-pitch and the finale on Sunday starts at high noon. None of the games will be broadcast on WWL AM / FM or wwl.com.
