“Talent-wise, WE have everything that we need.”

That’s the assessment of the Saints’ newest offensive weapon, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders.

Sanders became the newest toy in the drawer for quarterback Drew Brees after reportedly agreeing to a 2-year, $16-million contract over the weekend.

Sanders said he’s looking forward to catching what #9 throws his way.

“To be able to play with a Hall of Fame quarterback in Drew Brees, one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever do it,” Sanders said, “in a Sean Payton system, the opportunity to make the playoffs and make a run and try and do something special, to win a Super Bowl and get another ring – I think all of those… were a huge determining factor for me.”

Sanders made the comments Monday afternoon on WWL Radio’s “Sports Talk,” and he said he’s ready for a heavy workload after finishing up a stint with the run-heavy San Francisco 49ers.

“I’ve been in a pass-happy offense in 2014 with Peyton Manning,” Sanders said. “I miss having a pass-happy offense in which you can go in the game and catch a lot of passes and have a lot of fun and score a lot of points. So I’m excited about the whole process of that.”
