8 former LSU players set to make AAF debut with Memphis Express

The Alliance of American Football is kicking of its inaugural season this weekend. It’s an eight team league is giving players chance to showcase their talents to coaches and scouts.  Most of the guys have spent time on NFL rosters and are looking to be back to the pros.   

Pro football Hall-of-Famer Mike Singletary is the head coach of the Memphis Express and he had 8 former LSU Tigers on his roster:

QB Zach Mettenberger

RB Terrence Magee

OT Toby Weathersby

DE Sam Montgomery

DT Greg Gilmore

LB Anthony Johnson

P Brad Wing

P Josh Jasper

Memphis will take on the Birmingham Iron in the opener on Sunday at 3pm which will be televised on the CBS Sports Network
