Sean Payton has admitted that letting Malcolm Jenkins leave the Saints in free agency back in 2013 was a huge mistake. The safety was recently released by the Eagles after 6 years in Philadelphia and it appears a reunion in Black & Gold could be happening according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport:
A reunion: The #Saints are close to a deal with safety Malcolm Jenkins — likely bringing back one of their former first-round draft choices and securing their back end. The #Eagles recently parted ways with Jenkins.

Jenkins was the 14th overall pick in the 2009 draft out of Ohio State. He won a Super Bowl his rookie season in New Orleans and helped lead Philly to a championship in 2018. The 31-year-old did not have an interception last year, but finished with 81 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, 4 forced fumles with 1 recovered and 8 passes defensed.
