The Saints have been trying to make a trade happen to get something in return for Ken Crawley, but if there are no takers the team will waive the 26 year old. ESPN's Adam Schefter was first to report this.  Crawley joined the Black & Gold in 2016 out of Colorado and was elevated to starter status in 2017.  The undrafted CB ending up losing his starting spot a year ago and has been a healthy inactive most of this season, making his lone appearance last contest on special teams.

In 39 career games, Crawley has made 128 tackles, with 1 interception, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovered, 4 tackles for loss and 31 passes defended.

Marshon Lattimore along with Eli Apple lead the Saints corberback group and get P.J. Williams back in the mix, as he returns from a 2 game ban. Couple that with the rise of rookie CJ Garnder-Johnson, and waiving Crawley is hardly a surprise.

Over the last 2 weeks, CJ Gardner-Johnson has graded as the NFL's 2nd best slot CB with 81.7 and 83.8 overall and coverage grades, respectively. He's allowed 10 catches (17 tgts) for 29 yards, with 4 PBU in that span. Not your average "Next man up" situation.#Saints #WhoDat
