For the 4th time in Women's World Cup history, the United States Womens National Team is taking home the title of champions. The Americans beat the Netherlands in the final 2-0 as Megan Rapinoe put the US on the board first after she easily drilled home a penalty kick. Rose Lavelle followed with some beautiful footwork and a gorgeous finish into the bottom right of the goal.

Nothing controversial about this one. What a goal from Rose Lavelle!(via @TelemundoSports) pic.twitter.com/et3Ee7wd71

The Women's World Cup was first held in 1991 and the United States won the title that year, then did it again in 1999, 2015 and now 2019. That is four titles on five appearances in the championship game in 8 of the Women's World Cups. Domination from the USWNT.

Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan has been following the US's journey and tweeted his congrats to the team.
