Hoda Kotb has been patiently waiting to expand her family, and she’s not giving up hope.

The “Today” host, 56, said the coronavirus pandemic has delayed her adoption process, after first announcing that she was ready for a third child back in October 2020, Page Six reports.

“I thought it would be a different game,” Kotb admitted on Thursday’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.”

“They said that a lot of people who maybe normally would feel like it would be something they’d want to do — have a child and give it to someone to raise because they couldn’t — are holding on to things because they don’t have anything in that moment,” Kotb said. “That’s what I’ve heard from our agency.”

She added, “Everything’s slow but they say wait wisely and just be, so we’re just going to be.”

Kotb, who is engaged to Joel Schiffman, 63, adopted her first daughter, Haley, in 2017. Her second daughter, Hope, was adopted in 2019.

Kotb told "Entertainment Tonight” in October that she and Schiffman had already filled out the adoption paperwork.

"You feel like you get a limited amount of time on Earth and your heart expands, and sometimes you don't realize your heart's ability to expand until you've filled (it), and sometimes you think you're at the top, and then you realize that there's more room," she said.

“When I first got Haley, I adopted her in my 50s and I called Robin Roberts and I said, ‘Robin, can you believe?'” she added to Cohen. “I said, ‘This is so crazy. I’m 50. I have a baby.’ And she said, ‘Hold on, I’m gonna tell you what that baby is.’ I said, ‘What?’ She said, ‘That baby is right on time.'”
