According to TMZ, a man named Andy Stone is suing the popstar for copyright infringement, claiming that he co-wrote and sang a song entitled “All I Want for Christmas is You” in 1989 and that it even made it to the 1993 Billboard Charts during the Christmas season.

Stone, who recorded the song with his band Vince Vance & The Valiants, claimed Carey nor her team asked for his permission for the title and wants at least $20 million, the outlet said.

Carey’s version came out in 1994 and has broken records since.

Carey has not commented on the matter.
