It is an eerie scene across the LSU campus in Baton Rouge. At a time when students, faculty and staff should be seen everywhere... COVID-19 has left the halls, public spaces and iconic locations completely abandoned.
Mike the Tiger still romps around his habitat without the normal crowds that enjoy watching his daily activities.
The Quad walkways are covered in oak leaves, pollen and catkins instead of bustling with the activity that spring normally brings to campus.
The library is empty of the eager minds that would usually fill the computer labs and quiet study areas.
Signs hang on doors no one is using advising them how to avoid spreading coronavirus.
This is all just another example of how COVID-19 is altering our lives and driving people into isolation.
