This past summer, when highly sought-after New Orleans quarterback Arch Manning, the latest heir to the throne in a family that has become football royalty, signed his first NIL deal, the teenager said his plan was to donate the proceeds of that lucrative deal to charity.

Now, Manning has made good on his word, handing more than $100,000 over to Ronald McDonald House Charities.

“When I first partnered with Panini to auction off my trading card, I wanted the money to go to a good cause,” Manning said, according to Travis Recek of Spectrum News. “Helping children live healthy and fulfilling lives was important to me and my family. With that being said, I’m donating 100% of the proceeds from my trading card to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas.”

The money came from an auction of the first ever trading card to feature Manning. The card, made by Panini, sold for $102,500.

Currently, Manning’s NIL valuation is listed at $2.8 million, according to On3. That makes Manning the second-most valued college football player in the country, behind only Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL Hall of Famer and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders.

Manning, of course, has his own Hall of Fame lineage as the nephew of both Peyton and Eli Manning and the grandson of former New Orleans Saints great Archie Manning.

Arch Manning was last year’s top-ranked high school recruit and is spending his freshman season as a backup quarterback for the Texas Longhorns.
