“They said I was too worried about social media, my GPA was low, I was pregnant,” said LSU Lady Tigers basketball star Angel Reese in a recent interview with ESPN.
Reese, who was named the SEC player of the year earlier this month, knows that people talk about her on social media. This Tuesday she posted to X about people making artificial intelligence crafted images of her.
In the post, Reese said: “creating fake AI pictures of me is crazy and weird AF!” and added that she is just 21 years old. Although she’s only a junior at the Baton Rouge university, the Baltimore, Md., native already made a name for herself last year playing on the championship-winning team.
Of course, things have been a little different this year. However, one thing has remained the same. LSU women’s basketball – and Reese – keep winning.
“Yeah, my stats have gone down maybe four to five points because I’m on a way better team this year,” she told ESPN. “But I’m still averaging a double-double every game. I think people don’t realize I can do 10,000 things and still be good at all of them. And I can’t wait till just everything just falls right into place.”
