LSU announced the hiring of Blake Baker as the Tigers’ linebackers coach Thursday.
Baker most recently served as the defensive coordinator at the University of Miami. Prior to his stint with the Hurricanes, Baker served as the defensive coordinator at Louisiana Tech.
The Houston native also has more ties to the state of Louisiana as he was a three-year starter at Tulane.
The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman also reported that New York Jets defensive line coach Andre Carter is headed to LSU to coach the defensive line.
