Many draft analysts had former LSU safety AJ Haulcy as a second-round pick. However, Haulcy had to wait until the third round to hear his name called, but it happened when Indianapolis took the Houston native with the 78th overall pick.

The Colts are getting an experienced player. Haulcy started 44 games over four seasons between three schools, New Mexico, Houston and LSU.
In his one season with the Tigers. Haulcy was second on the team in tackles with 88. He also has three interceptions and seven passes defended.
Haulcy had 10 interceptions during his college career.
Haulcy’s instincts have to be appealing to Indianapolis and he’s not afraid to hit someone. Not a great open field tackler and also struggles in deep coverage.
He’s nearly six-feet-tall, 215 pounds and ready to play in the NFL in year one.
The Colts have an opening in their defensive secondary after Nick Cross left Indianapolis after four seasons and signed with the Commanders.
Bears take Zavion Thomas
Chicago quarterback Zavion Thomas has a new target to work with as former LSU receiver Zavion Thomas is headed to the Windy City.
Thomas was 2nd on the team last season with 41 catches for 488 yards and four touchdowns. He moved up the draft boards after running a 4.28 at the draft combine.
His ability to get yards after the catch has to be appealing to Chicago head coach Ben Johnson. He’ll also probably get some carries on jet sweeps.
With Chicago trading DJ Moore to Buffalo, the Bears needed to add a quality receiver to the two-deep.
