College softball’s postseason is here, so that means there’s a regional in Baton Rouge. For a sixth straight season LSU is playing host after head coach Beth Torina’s bunch finished 32-19 overall, 13-11 record in the SEC winning 8 of their 10 series.

“I think we’ve showed that we can win in a lot of different ways,” Torina said on WWL’s Sports Talk. “We’ve shown we can score big numbers and we can also hold people to small numbers. We can win with speed, we can win with power.”

LSU opens play in front of a 100% full capacity crowd at Tiger Park, no more attendance restrictions. Is will be packed with a bunch of local flavors. The Bayou Beng-gals first game is vs. McNeese (34-24) while Louisiana Layfette (44-10) completes the in-state trifecta. Georgia Washington (37-9) is the other squad in Baton Rouge for the weekend.
