THE HIGHLIGHTS
DON'T CHALLENGE TRE PALMER TO A RACE...
If you haven't heard by now: Tre Palmer, he's fast. LSU's speedster took a quick tunnel screen and never looked back, outrunning all of A&M's defenders for a 62-yard score that gave the Tigers a 10-point edge at the break, and ALL the momentum.

THE ZERO BLITZ GIVETH, THE ZERO BLITZ TAKETH AWAY
Much has been said about LSU's new-found aggressive, blitzing defense. When it works, it's beautiful. When it doesn't, or when the other team sees it coming, it burns. That's what happened on Texas A&M's first TD of the game, with Texas A&M's Zach Calzada sinking to buy time and finding Moose Muhammad for an touchdown despite an unblocked rusher.

THE TIGERS CAME TO PLAY
The defense pitched a shutout in the first quarter, and LSU's offense came up with the answer to start the second quarter. Max Johnson dropped back on 3rd and short near midfield, catching A&M thinking run, and found Jaray Jenkins in stride for a 45-yard touchdown and a 10-0 lead.

END Q1: LSU 3, Texas A&M 0

CADE YORK'S CHEESE LEG
Cade York has a deal with Velveeta. If he hits a kick beyond 50 yards, folks have a chance to win some cheese of their own. And he delivered to get the scoring started in this one.
