#2 LSU was stunned on the court Sunday by unranked Auburn, and the Tiger faithful was just as shocked by the 67-62 loss as the team was.
Following the game, the Tigers’ brightest star offered a mea culpa on social media, taking responsibility for the loss.
“This one was on me,” Angel Reese posted on X (formerly Twitter). “We good! Geaux Tigers!”
Reese finished the game with 24 points and 11 rebounds but she came up short when trying to come up clutch in the game’s closing seconds.
Fan response to Reese’s post was positive, offering their support moving forward.
"It wasn't on you Angel!!! We love you in the bayou and don't play about you at all!!!! You carried!! Keep your head up queen!!!" read one response.
LSU returns to action on Thursday to face Alabama.
