Ed Orgeron has coached his last LSU game, and still there is no word yet from LSU on who will coach them next season.
It might be easier to name who's definitely out -- Lincoln Riley, Billy Napier, Mel Tucker. WWL college football analyst Mike Detillier says athletic director Scott Woodward likes to make a big splash.
"Scott has built a reputation of being able to flip that trump card and say 'okay, I got my guy,'" said Detillier. "He landed Kim Mulkey from Baylor when most people thought Mulkey would never leave Baylor, and he landed Jimbo (Fisher) away from Florida State when he was at Texas A&M."
So far Fisher has said publicly he's not interested in leaving Texas A&M the LSU job. Any potential dark horses?
"I would make one phone call to see if he's interested, and that's Matt Rhule, who's currently the head football coach with the Carolina Panthers. It's not working for him," said Detillier. "That's just my own personal opinion."
