The New Orleans Saints are set to get their rookie class on the field for the first time this week, along with a host of UDFAs and tryout players.
That group of 31 tryout players consists of several intriguing names, none moreso than Younghoe Koo, who spent seven seasons as the kicker for the Atlanta Falcons before being cut early in the 2025 season amid ongoing struggles. Koo also had a short stint with the Giants later in the year. The Saints also signed UDFA Mason Shipley out of Texas, though Charlie Smyth will be the favorite to retain the job after taking over for Blake Grupe midway through last season.
The tryout group also includes a pair of established NFL quarterbacks in Easton Stick and Kyle Trask, both of whom have served primarily in backup roles. Stick was the backup for the Chargers in 2023, a team that had current Saints DC Brandon Staley as head coach and current Saints head coach Kellen Moore as offensive coordinator.
One name that doesn't appear on the minicamp roster is that of DT Zxavian Harris. Reports have indicated that he signed with the Saints as a UDFA, but no such move has yet been announced by the team.
Here's the full list of the 51 names scheduled to participate, including eight draft picks and 10 undrafted free agents. There will also be six returning Saints players in attendance. The roster is subject to change prior to the first day of minicamp on Friday.
