It's Week 3 of the Louisiana prep football season, and this week, several marquee matchups are on deck.
Edna Karr will host its Superdome doubleheader on Saturday, as the Division I-Select champions face Division I-Non-Select runner-up Ruston. In the other game of the twin bill, St. Augustine will take on East Ascension.
Meanwhile, this week brings long road trips for several teams that expect to make deep runs into the playoffs. Jena, Lafayette Christian, and Sterlington are among the squads making cross-state treks to test themselves ahead of their district slates, while Iowa and Airline will face out-of-state opponents.
