It's the final week of the high school football regular season in Louisiana.
With the playoffs in sight, some teams will be fighting for postseason positioning. Some others will be fighting to get off the bubble and into the playoffs. For a handful of teams, this week represents a chance to clinch a district championship and/or finish the regular season undefeated.
Meanwhile, one team, the University High Cubs, saw its playoff hopes dashed not on the field but via an LHSAA ruling that forced them to forfeit their seven wins.
On top of all of this, schools across south Louisiana are moving their games to Thursday, ostensibly because of the threat of Tropical Storm Rafael.
