The second half of the 2025 Louisiana High School Football Season begins, and a number of teams are looking to ride the momentum they picked up via massive upsets last week.
A 2A power, Lafayette Christian, upset a defending 5A state champion, Central. Tioga, Rapides Parish squad that's struggled for the last few years beat Jena, a Central Louisiana powerhouse, to advance to 4-1. And on the Northshore, Salmen, a team that's hovered around .500 all season long, handed Lakeshore its first defeat of the campaign.
Meanwhile, district races heat up as the push to the playoffs begins in earnest.

The Manning Family Children's WWL Prep Football Roundup Presented by Acadian Ambulance and Dr. Pepper will be live Friday from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
