Week 2 of the 2026 Louisiana prep football season is here, and if the opening week is any indication, we’re in store for a week of explosive matchups across the state.
Edna Karr will travel five hours north to put its 29-game win streak on the line. Ruston will play a familiar out-of-state opponent that always matches up well with the Bearcats. Acadiana, who upset one Baton Rouge-area playoff contender, will seek a second straight win over a Capital Region opponent. And in North Louisiana, the two teams that met in the 2025 Division III-Non-Select Championship Game will meet as Jena hits the road in hopes of avenging its title loss to Sterlington.
