Saints offensive lineman Andrus Peat said it best: "It's just real football," once the pads come on.
And that's exactly what happened indoors at the Ochsner Sports Performance Center in Metairie, with the Saints holding their first training camp practice in full pads.
But the running backs might be the happiest position group to get into full-contact mode, Latavius Murray said after practice, especially for the power backs.

"It’s kind of hard to play full-speed just in some shirts and shells," Murray said, "so it definitely felt good to have the pads on."

The Saints are back in action on Wednesday and will look to get outdoors after being pushed inside the first two days of the week by inclement weather.
