Can the Saints prove their doubters wrong in Kellen Moore's coaching debut?

We are a couple of days away from the Saints regular season debut, with a new coach, a nearly-new quarterback, and a lot to prove.

It is the start of the Coach Kellen Moore era in New Orleans, with second-year quarterback Spencer Rattler leading the huddle.

The Voice of the Saint Mike Hoss says the game plan needs to control the ball and keep Arizona's offense off the field.

"Be good defensively and take some pressure off of Spencer's shoulders so it's not on him to win or lose this game," he said.

To do that, the Saints offensive line needs to keep Rattler upright, and open lanes for running back Alvin Kamara.

"So you need that offensive line to stay healthy," Hoss said, especially against an Arizona Cardinals team that is better team than its 8-9 record last season suggests.

"They run the ball well and they've got a mobile quarterback and as we know, that was two issues that the Saints had to deal with last year," said Hoss. "You can't let Kyler Murray run around 50, 60 yards and pick up crucial  first downs, and stop the run in general."

It all comes down to playing smart, efficient football:

"Don't put a lot of pressure on Spencer Rattler," Hoss said. "If he's got to throw the ball 30 times, it's not what you want."
