Christen Miller didn't talk to the New Orleans Saints much in the draft process, but he was ecstatic when the draft call came in, even if it meant the Georgia native would have to sit some family members down to explain their new fanhood.

The Saints selected the hulking defensive tackle at No. 42 overall, the first of two former Georgia Bulldogs picked on the day along with TE Oscar Delp.

"Listen, I done came to at least three games watching the Falcons go against the Saints. Drew Brees just torched us. He used to do us dirty," Miller told WWL Radio, "but now I’m on the Saints and it’s a blessing, like now, I can’t even complain. I’ve got to sit my uncle down and talk to them and let them know they got to wear my jersey now, no more Falcons jerseys, no more dirty birds … we’re Saints now.”

That's the spirit Saints fans want, but it's also not an act. Miller brings that high energy and passion to every facet of his personality. Nowhere was that more clear than when he was asked to deliver his first "who dat" chant, a WWL tradition that many fresh draft picks stumble over. Very few ever find their way to the "who dat say then gonna beat 'dem Saints" part of the deal, but Miller is the exception. His mantra is "do everything with passion," and that comes through loud and clear.

"I want to impact the game in so many ways ... and I think one of the biggest things I’ve got to do is just keep showing up each day," he said. "Keep getting better, trying to learn, seeking knowledge, that’s the biggest thing. I’m ready and it’s time to go. That’s my mindset. I won’t be denied. I won’t be.”

The Saints also added Arizona State star WR Jordyn Tyson on Day 1 of the draft and own five picks on Day 3, the first coming at No. 132 overall followed quickly by the No. 136 selection. The Saints have yet to swing any deals, which mirrors the plan from 2025 after 12 years of swinging at least one draft day trade. If the Saints do choose to get aggressive, it could be to move up to the top of the 4th round where several intriguing players still remain, including Tennessee CB Jermod McCoy and Arkansas RB Mike Washington.
