Drew Brees said that he’s always limited on Wednesdays when asked about appearing on this week’s initial injury report with a shoulder issue. It’s Thursday and the Saints QB remained limited in his workload.

During the portion of practice the media got to see, Brees did not throw the ball. He worked out off to the side, doing some running and stretching.

Running back Alvin Kamara (foot) and wide receiver Marquez Calloway (ankle) were back to fully practicing after being limited yesterday.

Michela Thomas may be close to coming back, but he remains limited due to an ankle he hurt in the opener, along with a hamstring issue he suffered later on in practice. If Can’t Guard Mike IS able to play Sunday night, it would mark the first time since week one the both of the Saints top receivers were on the field now that Emmanuel Sanders has returned following a two game absence due to COVID.

Missing practice were DT Sheldon Rankins (knee) and CB Justin Hardee (groin). Both are unlikely to be in action against Tampa.

For the Buccaneers:

CB Jamel Dean (Illness) full

G Ali Marpet (Concussion) did not practice

WR Chris Godwin (Finger) limited

WR Scotty Miller (Hip/Groin) limited

LB Jason Pierre-Paul (Knee) limited

S Mike Edwards (Groin) limited
