The Caesars Superdome is nearing reality in New Orleans for a new play on the New Orleans skyline.

Mockups of the new look were shared Wednesday morning, featuring the traditional Caesars lettering alongside the Superdome title on the exterior and above the scoreboard inside the dome.

The Caesars logo will also take the place atop the dome where the Mercedes-Benz logo now sits. The rendering also includes impressive lighting along the exterior of the logo, creating a stunning visual for flyover shots that will likely be a mainstay during the broadcast of night games.

The reported $138 million, 20-year naming rights contact was approved in the legislature Wednesday morning, leaving the Saints to finalize the deal before the changes are ultimately made to the dome. Workers could be seen powerwashing the building this week, with the Mercedes-Benz lettering removed previously. The name still appears on the roof of the building, but changes there are likely to come soon.

A timeline for the deal to be finalized has not been set. The Saints open up the preseason on Aug. 14 on the road against the Baltimore Ravens, and will host the Jacksonville Jaguars for the first game of the 2021 slate inside the Superdome on Aug. 23.
