There's no denying that the New Orleans Saints are at a low point after a brutal trip to Seattle and a 44-13 defeat and with the powerhouse Bills next up on the schedule.
But that low only lasts as long as the Saints choose to stay there, and head coach Kellen Moore sees Week 4 as a prime opportunity to change the narrative.
"It’s going to be certainly a challenge for us," The Saints HC told Bobby Hebert and Mike Detillier this week on WWL, "but I think this is a really great turning point opportunity for our guys, to respond the right way coming out of Seattle, go up there and compete against these guys and I feel like if we put in a good work week, we’ll have a heck of an opportunity.”

Calling it a challenge might be a bit of an understatement, with the betting line for the game opening with the Saints as 16-point underdogs. It'll be another long road trip for the Saints, coupled with the fact that Buffalo will be coming off a 10-day break after beating the Dolphins on Thursday Night Football. Oh, and they also have reigning MVP Josh Allen and a host of playmakers on both sides of the ball.
The Saints aren't getting much respect, and they can't argue with the results after last week's performance.
"Certainly we’ve got to earn the right, to, you know, prove otherwise and so obviously we have a great opportunity," Moore said, "we’re going to go play a team in Buffalo that’s playing as good as anyone in this league."

Issues on special teams
“They had 206 return yards, you know, in both the punt and kick phase and so, you know, we had some missed opportunities, we put ourself behind in that game really early and, you know, we were not able to play that traditional football game where you can play with the rushing attempts and the play action football on offense, our defense was able to hang in there. We put ourself in some challenging situations and we missed a lot of opportunities because of it.”
On creating more takeaways
“It’s something we talked about going into this week just because we didn’t have the opportunities the first two weeks and we’re sitting here without another opportunity, again, we weren’t able to disrupt the quarterback enough and put him in advantageous spots for us … he played in some favorable situations and again, we’ve got to get more shots at the ball. We’ve got to get more eyes on it and gives ourselves more opportunities.”
On creating more explosive plays
“I do think we need to create more opportunities for it. We’ve got to be in better situations to put ourselves in that, when you get down and they can put a roof on things and play a lot of shell defense and not worry about the run and make you go the long way, you’re going to have some challenging opportunities to get downfield and so we’ve got to put ourselves in better situations to do that, we’ve got to give ourselves more opportunities to do that, because obviously to go 14, 15 play drives in this league are really, really hard and we’ve got to create explosives to have sudden changes.”
