Free-agent cornerback Richard Sherman was booked for “Burglary Domestic Violence” in Seattle on Wednesday morning, per multiple reports citing King County public records.

Sherman was denied bail and the arrest is being investigated as a felony.

The 33-year-old has yet to sign with a team this offseason and recent reports indicated a potential return to the Seattle Seahawks, where the five-time Pro Bowler spent his first seven seasons and won a Super Bowl before joining the San Francisco 49ers for the last three years.

Sherman was one of several popular names to potentially sign with the New Orleans Saints, with the roster likely in need of more cornerback depth heading into the 2021 season. The team itself has not indicated interest in signing Sherman, but has freed up cap space to add a notable free agent with contract restructures and extensions.

This is a developing story. Check back for more details.
