The cuts are made and all but one Saints player who spent training camp in New Orleans has cleared waivers, so which 16 are being kept around on the practice squad?
That process began late Wednesday morning, with Calvin Throckmorton being claimed by the Panthers, by everyone else clear to return.
Scroll below for the latest names that have been inked to a practice squad deal, with the full squad announced just before 4 p.m.:
- WR Jontre Kirklin
- DE Kyle Phillips
- DT Jack Heflin
- LB Ty Summers
- CB Anthony Johnson
- S Johnathan Abram
- LB Anfernee Orji
- WR Shaq Davis

- WR Lynn Bowden Jr.
- S Johnathan Abram

While the group is still developing, Saints fans will be glad to see names like Shaq Davis and Jontre Kirklin sticking around after impressive preseason performances.
The team will also likely look to devote a handful of spots to veterans, of which they can have six.
Those spots are valuable considering players are now allowed to elevate players from the practice squad as many as three times before having to sign them to the active roster. Some good examples of the Saints taking advantage of that the past several seasons include WR Kevin White and CB Chris Harris.
