The New Orleans Saints are adjusting their schedule due to Hurricane Zeta, which is expected to hit the Louisiana coast this afternoon.
Zeta is expected to hit Louisiana as a Category 2 hurricane with winds up to 100 mph.
Saints coach Sean Payton said the team will adjust its schedule to allow players and coaches to be home earlier.
“We’re going to, after practice, try and get these guys out of here a little earlier and catch up the film work tomorrow,” Payton said.
The 2020 hurricane season has been very active and has affected Louisiana sports. LSU moved its game against Missouri to Columbia, Mo. due to Hurricane Delta a few weeks ago and the Saints have had to monitor a few storms while preparing for games.
