The New Orleans Saints will have at least one more wide receiver joining the roster as the offseason moves forward, and it's a player with some intriguing background in Brock Rechsteiner.
The Saints will be signing the former Jacksonville State WR after his tryout at Saints rookie minicamp, a source has confirmed to WWL Radio. The team is yet to officially announce the move. Rechsteiner is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner.
“Really just playing with a chip on my shoulder, playing hard, playing fast," Rechsteiner said of his performance, "showing them what all I can do and then just learning, going against NFL competition and what I can get better on myself.”
Rechsteiner was one of 31 tryout players who joined the Saints rookie class in Metairie last week. The big-bodied WR quickly stood out, making multiple athletic catches and looking the part of an NFL wide receiver. The 6-2, 225 pass-catcher never put up gaudy stats at Jacksonville State, logging 53 catches for 629 yards and 7 touchdowns over the course of 37 games.

The addition on its own in such a packed WR room is telling of how impressed the team was with Rechsteiner's performance. The Saints drafted three WRs (Jordyn Tyson, Bryce Lance and Barion Brown) while also signing another player (Damien Alford) earlier in the offseason. In total the Saints had 12 wide receivers prior to adding Rechsteiner, with the group headlined by Chris Olave. They'll also have to find reps for two players acquired by trade last preseason in Devaughn Vele and Ja'Lynn Polk, the latter of whom is a former second round pick and spent the 2025 season on injured reserve.
Rechsteiner's stature also matches the recent theme of the Saints' roster-building at the position. Of the 12 players currently listed on the roster, only one measures in at under 6 feet tall (Mason Tipton). The Saints will next be on the field for the first set of organized team activities at the end of May.
