The Saints have exercised the 5th year option on defensive end Marcus Davenport which will keep him in New Orleans through the 2022 season.
He was selected 14 overall in the 2018 draft after the Saints made a trade with the Green Bay Packers to move up and pick the UTSA product.
The 24-year-old has appeared in 37 games with 14 starts in 4 seaosns, recording 75 tackles, 12.5 sacks and two passes defensed. Last, season he missed the first four weeks of the season with an elbow issue.
