The New Orleans Saints beefed up their offensive attack on Day 1 of the draft, but they turned to defensive bulk on Day 2 in the form of defensive tackle Christen Miller.

Miller will join a group that includes veterans in DT Davon Godchaux and Nathan Shepherd, as well as former first-round pick Bryan Bresee who is headed into Year 4, among others.

The hulking DT said one of the things he's most excited about in joining the Saints was playing alongside Bresee, whom Miller said he's been watching for years.
“Us two together," he said, "it's going to be a movie."
Miller appeared in 43 games across four seasons with the Bulldogs, logging 64 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and 4 sacks. In 2025 Miller started all 14 games and added 23 QB hurries and was named first-team All-SEC. The Bulldogs went 51-6 during his run in Athens, including a CFP title during his freshman season. The 6-4, 321-pound linemen profiles to be a high-end run-stuffer in the NFL.
“Man, I think I can get even better at run-stopping. … I haven’t reached my potential yet," he said. "I’m just scratching the surface, I’ve got so much more in the tank.”
Miller added that the Saints "challenged him" in the pre-draft process, a challenge he was glad to accept.
“They wanted to see where my mentality was at," Miller said. They wanted to see can I withstand hard conversations, can I withstand hard topics, can I take hard coaching in that meeting room and I think I stood on business and I think that’s just who I am as a person. I want to be coached hard, I want to learn, I seek learning and I think that’s just what I brought to the table.”
Miller does have familiarity with the Caesars Superdome, having appeared twice in the Sugar Bowl with the Bulldogs, both losses.
“I’ve got a bad taste in my mouth in that stadium," he said, "and we’re going to turn that around, for sure.”
The Saints addressed the offense with their first pick of the draft, adding Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson at No. 8 overall. They'll be back on the clock, barring trades, at No. 73 overall and hold five more Day 3 picks.
