The NFL is set to fine the Saints $700,000 and take a 2022 sixth-round draft pick from the franchise as punishment for violating the NFL's COVID-19 protocols, according to a report from the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The Saints have been disciplined by the NFL multiple times this past season as a result of the protocols.
Following the New Orleans Saints 38-3 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, players and coach Sean Payton showed off their dance moves in videos that went viral after the big win and the Saints were fined.
The Saints had already been fined earlier in the season for a violation of the NFL’s COVID-19 protocols after their Week 2 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. The franchise and Payton were fined a combined $350,000 for improper mask use on the sidelines during that game.
