Saints nab fullback, sign DT; see Saints practice squad signings

As expected, the New Orleans Saints were active on the waiver wire following the cutdown to 53 players, adding players at two key positions who had fallen off other teams' rosters.

One of those players was fullback Adam Prentice, who was one of the final cuts by the Denver Broncos. The move filled a gap at fullback following one of the more surprising cuts in fullback Alex Armah, leaving the Saints with no one at the position. He was announced as a member of the team’s practice squad Wednesday evening.

The Saints also reportedly signed former Packers and Patriots defensive tackle Montravius Adams, per a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, who will help beef up the interior line that was gutted this offseason with the departure of Sheldon Rankins and Malcom Brown, and a 6-game suspension for David Onyemata.

Headed off the roster were defensive back Bryce Thompson and defensive end Marcus Willoughby, both of whom reached injury settlements with the team after being placed on injured reserve.

The team also announced its practice squad signings as of Wednesday evening. See the full squad, listed below:
