The New Orleans Saints filled out the final two spots of their practice squad on Wednesday with a pair of familiar names.

Both WR Kevin Austin Jr. and TE Treyton Welch were back after being late cuts on Monday to make space for a pair of waiver claims. We also saw the practice debut of TE Stone Smartt, a practice squad addition who is familiar with several of the Saints coaches from his time with the Chargers, and CB Decamerion Richardson, whom the team claimed off waivers from the Raiders.

TAKING ATTENDANCE

Here are the players I didn't see practicing on Wednesday during the period open to the media:

- TE Oscar Delp (hamstring)
- RB Kendre Miller
- RB Audric Estime
- RB Alvin Kamara
- DE Cam Jordan

Practice squad WR Trey Palmer and new practice squad addition WR Cedric Tillman also wasn't in attendance, though it's unclear if that is injury related.

DE Cam Jordan could be seen walking around the field in a weighted vest as he works back from his hamstring injury. Head coach Kellen Moore left the door open for a Week 1 return for Jordan and RB Alvin Kamara, though their progress heading into the start of next week will be important.

Head coach Kellen Moore indicated that the issues for RBs Kendre Miller and Audric Estime are minor. Miller's issue is unrelated to the back issue that cost him time in camp.

MORE MOVES

The Saints reached injury settlements with OT Barry Wesley and CB Dalys Beanum. They will be released from the Saints' IR list and are free to sign with another team.
