The New Orleans Saints are reversing course on their refund policy for season ticket holders.
After initially not planning to offer refunds for the 2021 season, the Saints announced on Thursday that fans seeking a refund should reach out to their ticket representative by the deadline of Tuesday, Aug. 24 at 4 p.m. CT in order to cancel their accounts and be provided a refund.
The Saints said that they received less than 120 requests for refunds, but following media inquiries and recent stories on refund policies, thousands have called asking to purchase tickets made available by any season ticket holder seeking a refund.

Instead of having those tickets be sold on the secondary market, the Saints decided to welcome refunds and make those tickets available for purchase via the team’s wait list.
Last year, the Saints offered refunds to fans due to government restrictions that would not allow full attendance for the course of the full season.
This year, Saints fans will be welcomed back into the Caesars Superdome but must provide proof of a single vaccination dose or negative Covid-19 test for entry into the game (fans 12 years and under do not need proof of vaccination or a negative test).
The city of New Orleans will also allow fans into the stadium if they receive their first shot the day of the game.
