The NFL circus has Saints fans buying tickets to the Odell Beckham Jr. show. The wide receiver was released by the Browns, hitting waivers Monday.

After seeing dropped pass after dropped pass in a gross loss at home to Atlanta, a talent like Beckham looks like a must claim for Who Dats. But, head coach Sean Payton put to bed any chance the Saints will be paying the remaining $7.25 million on OBJ's contract.

“Its impossible for us to put a claim in on a player, Payton said. “You just have to look at the salary cap space. And, if we were putting in a claim, it wouldn’t be something we discussed.”

If no team claims Beckham by 3pm CT Tuesday, he will become a free agent. Inking him to any dollar amount is possible then, but the Saint will need to do some number crunching since they’re under one million in salary cap space.

But, that’s never been an issue for this front office. If the Saints want really Beckham, if and when he becomes a FA, they will find a way to make the money work.

The former Newman and LSU star turned 29 years old on November 5th. Could the bday boy soon be back in LA? Stay tuned!
