With Tom Brady advancing to his 10th Super Bowl, Tom Brady Sr. did a few media interviews following the NFC Championship where he revealed and he and his wife battled COVID-19 at the beginning of the football season,
Appearing on NFL Network Sunday prior to Super Bowl LV, Brady Sr. acknowledged he and his wife have told their son to be more diligent when it comes to wearing a mask.
“Yes,” he said. “You know what, he’s 43 years of age. We keep harping on it. Frankly, he thinks his body with — he probably takes 45 pills a day. So far, God willing, he’s still healthy. But the answer is yes, we do.”
Brady did not wear a mask like the rest of his teammates on the field following the NFC title game and was not when arriving to the stadium on Sunday.
Both of Brady's parents made the trip to Tampa Bay for the game.
“I’m thankful I’m here, to be honest with you,” Brady Sr. said.
