Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt is out for Saturday afternoon's game versus 20th-ranked Ole Miss.
Kai Horton will begin the game under center. A sophomore, Horton helped the Wave come from behind to beat Houston in a 27-24 overtime win in 2022.
Pratt injured his left knee in the Wave's opening-week victory over South Alabama, and has been limited in practice this week.
The 24th-ranked Wave has a chance to prove it can hang with the Power Five if it can handle a top 20 SEC team.
Yulman Stadium is sold out in anticipation of the event, which is being televised on ESPN2.
