Five of Louisiana’s six Republican lawmakers still voted to overturn election despite mob violence at the U.S. Capitol yesterday.
Senator John Kennedy, along with U.S. Representatives, Steve Scalise, Clay Higgins, Mike Johnson, and Garret Graves all proceeded to cast their vote objecting the certification of President-elect Joe Bidens victory.
U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy was the only Louisiana delegate to reverse and support the election results after a violent mob of Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol as they where voicing their objections on certifying Arizona and Pennsylvania’s electoral votes.
In the end, the results were certified, making President-elect Joe Biden’s victory official.
